Adrenaline seekers were sorely disappointed when it was announced that the highly anticipated outdoor theme park at Genting Highlands had run into some issues with 20th Century Fox and Walt Disney Co. This would likely cause more delays to its opening date, which has already been postponed several times.
However, fret not if you looking to head over to Genting Highlands for a short trip or your next holiday destination as SkyTropolis Funland is here!

– The VOID –
The VOID, a virtual reality entertainment centre, is right beside the theme park. Wearing a VR headset and vest, visitors roam around in a large virtual space, fending off virtual enemies with their weapons.
Tickets cost RM130 each. There is a minimum height requirement of 122cm.
The VOID offers four VR experiences:
For Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire, be prepared to be plunged into the tumultuous world of the Star Wars Rogue One movie. After getting your mission brief from Captain Cassian Andor, get ready to roam around the molten planet of Mustafar disguised as stormtroopers.
Use your blaster rifles to fend off giant lava monsters and other stormtroopers, solve puzzles by pressing buttons, interact with K-2SO, and even battle the sinister Darth Vader!
Even though it’s quite expensive, we highly recommend this Star Wars VR experience; if only for the fact that you get a once-in-a-lifetime experience to go head to head with Darth Vader!
For Ralph breaks VR, your goal is to save Ralph. Along the way, be prepared to fend off large groups of rabbits and other affable creatures by shooting cutesy projectiles at them from your big guns.
Also be prepared to survive an epic food fight where you will get “attacked” by pancakes, pizzas, and cakes.
This VR experience is great for families and children! They will definitely enjoy immersing themselves in this interactive cartoon virtual world.

You might need to rinse your mouth after this! The booth sells a variety of durian pastries such as durian cake and durian strudel (both RM8). This is one for the durian lovers.
This booth sells popcorns with a variety of interesting flavours such as Caramel Classic, Banana, BBQ Chicken, Curry, Durian, Strawberry, Wasabi and more. They sell cotton candy too!
If you are craving for some local food, this booth offers curry puffs (RM5), egg tarts (RM2), chicken pies (RM5), pineapple tarts (RM2), sesame red bean balls (RM2), and more. This was one of the more affordable food booths in the theme park.
Little girls (and perhaps some ladies) will like this booth. It sells pink-themed pastries and sweets such as Strawberry Eclairs, Strawberry Brownies, Pink Chocolate Fudge, etc.
